Crea Sullivan is an Irish composer and violinist. She embarked on her musical journey at the age of 4, immersing herself in the world of classical violin performance. She pursued her passion further by studying Music and Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin, where her fascination with the intersection of these disciplines drove her to explore both deeply during her time, culminating in her achievement of receiving a first-class honours.
Awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in 2023, Crea graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games. During her studies, she collaborated with and conducted ensembles, including recording sessions at AIR Studios, as well as performances with the Budapest Art Orchestra and the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valencia. Most recently, Crea has been selected for the Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s Film Composers Lab, receiving mentorship from acclaimed composers John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The Last Kingdom), and Danai Kokogia.
In addition to her academic achievements, Crea's work as a composer for screen has led her to collaborate with filmmakers such as Daniela Rey and Kelly Emmrich, creating music that enriches their cinematic visions. She was selected for a prestigious mentorship with award-winning composer Pieter Schlosser and recently completed an internship with acclaimed composer Patrick Jonsson in London.
While passionately pursuing composition for screen, Crea's dedication to classical performance is evident. Under the guidance of violinist Karl Sweeney since 2019, she has developed a profound love for orchestral and chamber music performance, having served as a concertmaster on many occasions. Crea has also had the opportunity to perform alongside renowned artists, such as Jamie Duffy.
